Writer's Block: Your First Record

What was the first music album you ever bought or owned? Do you still listen to it or have you moved on?

For my 13th birthday, my parents got me my 1st CD player and the Alanis Morriset, Jagged Little Pill CD. (I think that was before parental advisory labels- or before my folks realized what they were, though that album should have had one.) I don't have it anymore, but it was my favorite for a long time. I just smile when all my girlfriends start talking about how Backstreet Boys and NSync albums were the first ones they ever owned... :)

Writer's Block: I'm So Excited

What most excites you about the way you're living your life right now?

I am preparing for the future with school, but I am about to be on a 3 month break!!
I am getting Lasik as my 21st birthday present from my parents and am kind of scared to do it.
My roommates and I will be living in our own house, out of the dorms, in 3 months.
My older sister graduates college in a week and my best firends and other sibling are going to be partying it up in a hotel room in the middle of nowhere.
I get to go home in a week!!!!

Writer's Block: Happy Friday

What are you most looking forward to this weekend?

This weekend signifies the beginning of summer break. Almost. There are no classes this week, just exams. So that's a high point.
But even better is the fact that my 2 best friends from home are coming to visit me in about an hour!!

Writer's Block: Road Trip

When was the last time you drove out of town?

So I'm bored and figured I could answer some of these questions...

Last time I drove out of town I was on my way to a funeral. But 2 days before that, I was driving out of town to see Paramore (and Jimmy Eat World) play an amazing conert in DeKalb, IL.

Spring Break
So, nothing really new here, except I am on spring break!
It is, however, snowing outside right now. And despite (minimal) effort in trying to book a beach scene getaway, my friends and I will be stuck in this snowy state, although we will be heading out of town for a one-night stand stay in Chicago. All is well on the homefront; my family are as themselves as ever. Ah, well, it's not as if there's any bad to them, just a bit overbearing at times.
No worries though, because I have breakfast booked with friends at 10 tomorrow!! Yay!

Hello
Hello my little LiveJournal. I am going to mention now that you will likely be neglected. Sad but true- there are just so many things a college girl has to do with her time. So for now know this:
I am in college.
I have amazing family.
My friends are the bestest and they are fantastic :)
Home is where the heart is, but the heart is often split amongst many.
Music makes me happy, but I am terrible at expanding my horizons: I fall in love and gt stuck for months, never tiring of the same old...
I love to read, just not these silly things called textbooks.
I think a lot about my world and how it sucks.
I want to change the world for the sake of others
I'm often in doubt.
I love to live.
That's me in a nutshell; any following posts might elaborate. I mostly got myself an LJ so I could post with a name, not just annonymously, on favorite authors' and musicians' LJs and also to be able to join some of the communities :)
Later!
